Applications are invited for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and School of Mechanical, Materials & Energy Engineering (SMMEE) offered in various areas of research during second semester for Indian citizens for the academic year 2013-2014 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar:
Eligibility:
- For PhD in Computer Science & Engineering: Candidates holding M.E /M.Tech. / M.S. or equivalent qualification in computer science and engineering or equivalent degree with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) (55% marks for SC/ST). However, exceptional candidates having B.E/B.Tech qualification with valid GATE score can apply for direct admission to PhD program.
- For PhD in Electrical Engineering: Candidates with first class (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) or 60% marks in M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S. in Electrical engineering or equivalent degree.
- For PhD in School of Mechanical, Materials & Energy Engineering: Candidates holding master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a master’s degree by Research in Engineering/Technology. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) in their master’s.
